My wife, Ana, and I brought Dihno from Mexico to Brooklyn at the beginning of the year. He is a 9-year-old Chihuahua mix and one of the most loving and friendly dogs ever. He really enjoys pets and cuddles.

He was in the process of adapting to his new life when tragedy struck. Dihno bolted out the door and was involved in a horrible car accident. He needed emergency medical care and attention. He suffered multiple fractures in his pelvis, and he needed surgery to repair them. Also, his left back leg was dragged and lost a significant amount of skin.

Dihno is doing ok right now. His surgeries and care went well. He is recovering at home, but we still have to periodically go to the vet to get his bandages changed and cleaned so new skin can grow.

We are happy that Dihno is starting well on his long recovery process; however, the vet bills for the surgery, medications, and the ongoing bandage-changing are incredibly expensive. Any contribution would be appreciated to help Dinho recover and be his old, loving, and playful self again.
