Riding For An Alzheimer's Cure
Donation protected
I'm riding to help support a cause that is close to my heart. In December of 2013, I lost my Father to Early Onset Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. Diagnosed in his mid 50's, he battled the disease for over 10 years, eventually losing the fight at the age of 69.
In his early 50's, he found out that his Father had Alzheimer's Disease. As an avid cyclist, this promptedmy Father to ride his bicycle from Lands End to John O'Groats to raise money for this very same cause. Almost 900 miles covered in 2 weeks!
At a heightened risk due to family history, I'm committing to ride the 2016 Seattle to Portland Bike Ride. This ride covers 204 miles in 2 days. Please help me raise funds to help find a cure for this awful disease that currently affects over 5 million people directly in the USA and over 500,000 people in the UK (2015).
All of your donations will go to the American Alzheimer's Association.
Thank you!
