Black Girl Magik
BGM is a wellness brand empowering Black women to awaken the healer within through education and practices rooted in wellness and holistic healing. BGM was founded by Shydeia Caldwell in 2015 as a catalyst for Black women to transform through radical healing, community care and wellness education. In result, BGM has delivered communal events and brand partnerships that explore wellness, spirituality, sisterhood and intergenerational healing.

IMPACT: Since 2015, we have held space for over 6,000 Black women, facilitated over 60 workshops and classes, produced an Oprah Winfrey Network featured nationwide tour and partnered with over 20 organizations.

A SOCIAL SPACE: With community building the foundation of our success, we are establishing a sanctuary for Black women to share their healing journey with members across the globe.

CULTURALLY CENTERED EDUCATION: What does it look like to root, nurture and center Black wellness and spirituality in a communal educational space? It looks like liberation, self-discovery, and emotional alchemy. Our healing curriculum integrates holistic health, mental health, energy work and ancestral traditions. We are carrying forth the healing wisdom of Indigenous African spirit technologies.

Why We’re Here

BGM is here to revolutionize healing in community. Here is where Black women land to prioritize healing, build their wellness toolkit, explore cultural roots and engage in continuous support. We are a modern space whose groundwork is built upon heritage. Join us in weaving a tapestry of collective evolution.

What We Need

PHASE 1:
For Phase 1, we need to raise the first 20K to begin the rebranding process, begin holistic health and ancestral healing training certifications and outsource fundamental experts for strategy, design and legal fees.

PHASE 2:
For Phase 2, we need to raise an additional $50K for design and development of the app and publishing into the app store through the established agency we are working with.

PHASE 3:
For Phase 3, we need to raise the last $10K to create a start-up budget for outsourcing contractors for company needs such as social media management, brand partnerships and community management.
