Diggers Herding Relocation

Story

It’s been a tough time here at Diggers over the last year. A lot of you have shared some very sad times with us; the loss of Viva our beloved horse, Dolly the matriarch ewe and then the passing of dear old Scout, the mongrel of a canine that everyone loved, were some of the heartbreaking moments you all witnessed and helped us get through with your great kindness and incredible support. When things seemed they could get no worse, I was then given the news that I have inherited the Huntington’s Disease gene, a neurological degenerative disease which will eventually take my life. Shortly after this we received the news that we had to leave our beloved home and place where we have saved and helped thousands of canines over the past decade through Diggers Herding.I must admit, it did cross my mind to give everything up and just spend time with Geoff and our beloved dogs, closing Diggers Herding & K9 Education forever. Then I thought what will happen to the thousands of dogs that will need our help over the next ten years and will I or Geoff really be happy not seeing those suburban working dogs come to life doing what they were originally bred to do. The good news is Geoff and I have decided not only to keep Diggers Herding operating and doing the work we do best, but to make it bigger and better. We are proud to announce we have found and secured the most incredible venue for our future training days and will be moving in over the next few weeks. Located in Sunbury, only 20 minutes away from here, with paddocks and an already existing round yard you can all work in. Here’s where we need your help. To get this place up and running for future beginner days and for a new and improved herding and canine training rehabilitation centre, we will need to build some new yards and repair a lot of fencing. You can help by donating a small amount, paying for a fence post or a life time training package for your dog. Or if your company would like to offer any sponsorship, we will be very grateful. One post $20Two year training package (only 10 available) $300Life time training package (only 10 available) $550Any donations will be gratefully accepted.Diggers Herding & K9 Education is all of yours and we want to make it the best for you.Cheers,Dave, Geoff and all the gang here at Diggers.
