Help My Daughter Start Fresh After a Difficult First Apartment Experience- 

My daughter moved into her very first apartment last October—something she worked so hard for and was incredibly proud of. Everything was going well until this spring, when mice turned up in her apartment. Things have only gotten worse. Recently, cockroaches have also found their way into the apartment, making it unlivable and unsafe. She’s breaking her lease this week. She’s now having to get rid of things and much of her cherished yarn collection (she’s a dedicated crocheter). Starting over is tough, especially when you’re doing everything right.

She juggles two jobs—one as a server and another at an accounting firm—while also attending college full-time. She’s on track to graduate with her associate’s degree soon, and I couldn’t be more proud of her dedication and resilience.

She’ll be moving into a much newer apartment that she’s put a deposit down for this September, and I’m hoping to rally a little support to help her replace some essentials and help her with the two months of lost rent payments she’ll need to cover until her lease is up.
