Hi there! My name is Taylor and I’m hoping maybe on some form of a miracle, you may be able to help myself and my family.

On Friday, 9/14 our family dog Diesel got what we like to call his “post poop zoomies” and got his foot caught on our couch. After watching him limp around and progressively put less and less weight on his leg, we knew something was wrong and took him to the emergency vet.

Turns out, he tore his ACL completely and partially tore his meniscus. We were sent home with sedatives and pain meds but after visiting our vet we were quoted $6000 for just his surgery and another $800 for his follow up X-rays.

Diesel has been the most amazing boy, and I know everyone says that about their pets but he honestly has been the BEST dog.

His life did not start out the greatest, he was rescued from a severe neglect/abuse situation by my husband and was severely starved and then beaten. We have spent the last 8 years spoiling, training and loving this boy with everything we have.

He lets his human babies trample all over him, protects his kitties (even from each other) and is especially attached to our 3 year old Bengal cat - Biscuits.

He has been my husband’s very best friend and has walked with him through every single stage of life. He was my very first dog and has been the sweetest, most loving boy I could’ve ever asked for.

Nobody wants to make a post and out their lives like this but at this point it’s surgery or saying goodbye to our boy.

As it is now, we are among the many who can barely afford to survive and now we have to make a hard choice.

I don’t know what else to say aside from thank you for at least getting this far and if you’re able to donate, you have no idea what it means to our family.

Deez has a lot of life left to live and even most snacks to steal from his human babies and we’re hoping a miracle happens.
