Meet Diesel, aka D, Big D., and Sweet D. This guy is a rescue that we adopted in 2016. We chose him because of his smile. Mom and Dad (mostly Dad) are his two most favorite things in the world and he's fiercely protective of the whole family. He lets every Amazon delivery person know they’re not welcome.

Diesel is one of 8 rescue fur babies in our home… yep, I said 8. Among them, we’ve got Tiger with a fake hip, Bear with a stumpy tail, and Levi with elbow dysplasia that required surgery a few years ago.

SO HERE’S THE SITUATION: Diesel needs an expensive surgery to remove a lipoma that is basically engulfing his groin. It started the size of a grape and is now approximately the size of a cantaloupe. It doesn’t seem to hurt him, but we’re very concerned about him losing the ability to urinate in the future because it won’t stop growing. The surgery is more expensive than expected because of where the lipoma is located and how it may be attached to his organs.

There's no "story" as to why this is tough for us financially. It's just life and it's not always been easy. As someone that helps others for a living, I have a very hard time asking for help when I need it. But we want D to be well and we could really use some goodwill, generosity, and kindness in order to make that happen for him.

I understand that our financial request pales in comparison to so many others. Believe me, I know and respect that. But he’s one of our babies and I couldn’t NOT ask
