Dierdre’s One True Wish

We can hardly express the depth of our gratitude to you for the outpouring of love shown to our family over the last year. You have all supported us in the most difficult time of our lives and carried us through events we could never have imagined. We felt your love then, and we continue to feel it now. A year ago, after several years of stability, Rett syndrome has been relentlessly rearing its ugly head in a devastating ways.   Dierdre has been fighting hard battling to regain her strength and return to the happy free spirit we are all used to knowing.

A few months ago her sister nominated her for her one true wish through Make – A –Wish foundations. We were shocked and surprised when Make-A-Wish called to say Dierdre would be getting her wish.

Dierdre’s wish is for her to go to Ireland.  Make-A-Wish will be hosting a feast and tournament in a castle.  Make-A-Wish does pay for all of this to happen for her.  Her dad and I believe that this is going to give Dierdre some much needed inspirational and renew her spirit to continue her fight against Rett syndrome.  This wish is going to provide us with an amazing opportunity to give Dierdre an experience she will have for the rest of her life and am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this for her.

So, why the GoFund me page?

There are a few things that her dad and I firmly believe that need to happen at the event that Make-A-Wish cannot pay for. This includes making sure we do everything we can to bring her inspiration and Champion with us. As well as having a dress made for her for the event. Any donation would be helpful!!

We are truly excited about this opportunity for Dierdre and can’t wait to see her dream fulfilled!
