Hello everyone! My name is Diep Phan (like “Yip Fan”) and I was recently admitted into the John Locke Institute Summer School to study philosophy, politics, and economics in Oxford in August. This program is competitive, receiving hundreds of applications from every continent. While I have been applying to scholarships to help cover the funds (both within the program and some outside scholarships as well) I cannot truthfully say it will be enough to cover all the fees.

I have been incredibly fortunate to have parents that are always willing to support any academic endeavors I have, but of course this comes with a price. With my current MAC dual enrollment tuition and my little sisters’ school tuition, my parents must work extremely hard to cover their expenses. That being said, I would like to lessen the economic burdens they face, especially with the negative effects the pandemic has had on their business.
