Diego’s Emergency—Disappeared.

UPDATE:

+72 hours have passed since Diego was reported missing. Therefore, Taiwanese government has stopped the thorough search. Diego’s family has decided to offer a $50,000 reward (group of people, organization, government, anyone) for finding him ALIVE to intensify the search. His family has reached Taiwan. His family has a strong belief that Diego got stuck in a rock while doing snorkel.We urge everyone to share this information. We ask the Green Island community to help searching their coasts.

 Moreover, envelopes with a certain amount of money have been given as a form of honoring the experienced scuba divers to look in dangerous caves, but no luck. We have decided to increase the financial request so the family does not face any financial burden on top of what they are experiencing.

Hi friends!

Diego—who is a beloved friend to many—is currently disappeared. He was about to start conducting a research study in Asia for the summer until July. This is an emergency GoFundMe in order to cover expenses so a family member can travel to Taiwan ASAP, the last place he was at (flight tickets from and to Mexico, accommodation, and any unexpected expense that might arise).

Police, embassy, and university are all aware of the situation. For all who know him, let’s remain in close communication as the situation evolves.

For those who don’t know him, he is a wonderful human being, and I can attest he and his family will be grateful for your contribution during this time.

Diego, nuestro querido amigo, está actualmente desaparecido. Estaba por empezar un proyecto de investigación en Asia que duraría hasta finales de Julio. Esta es una campaña de emergencia con el objetivo de recolectar fondos para pagar los gastos de viaje a uno de sus familires, quien se unirá a su búsqueda (el dinero será utilizado para cubrir los boletos de avión desde Mexico, gastos de acomodación y cualquier otro gasto que aparezca). El último lugar en el que fue visto es en Green Island, Taiwan.
