Diego Gonzales Vigil Funeral Fund

Diego Gonzales Vigil was a sophomore looking forward to beginning the school year at Dolores Huerta Preparatory Academy in Pueblo, Colorado.  He was a very energetic student who loved basketball, friends, and family.  On Saturday, August 1st, Diego was excited about seeing his older brother who was flying in to Denver from California.  He and his brother were attending a party on Saturday night when tragedy struck.  Unknowingly to Diego and his brother, gang members drove by and shot into the house where the party was taking place.  Diego was struck in the back and passed away soon after.  Diego was not a gang member and had no affiliations to gangs while living in Pueblo.  He was a great student and had a small group of friends that enjoyed sports and activities at the school.   The family could use assistance for burial, memorial, and other expenses as there was no life insurance for Diego.  The funds are needed immediately to assist the family due to the COVID - 19 panedemic and their resources are running low.  Diego had 3 brothers, Lorenzo Vigil and Julian and Ramon Solano.  Mr. Elmer Vigil will be collecting all funds and making final preparations for his son.  It is a tragedy that such occurrences take place and words cannot justify such horrendous acts in society.  Our hearts and prayers go out to the family, friends, and loved ones of Diego Gonzales Vigil.
