Connie DiDonato is the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need. And now she needs OUR help. After battling cancer herself, and suffering numerous tragedies the last couple of years, she has not once asked for help. So I am asking on her behalf.
Connie’s 15 year old child fell a couple weeks ago and was checked out in the ER. They had an incidental finding on imaging of Chiari malformation, which has gone undiagnosed since birth. The compression on E’s spine has caused a multitude of uncomfortable symptoms over the years which are now answered, but sadly requires brain surgery. The surgery is scheduled for early July. ***BUT***...E has hemophilia. This bleeding disorder will make brain surgery challenging. The neurosurgeon they need to see is out of network. They have a really high out of network deductible AND Connie will be out of work without pay for 8 weeks while her child recovers from brain surgery. No family should worry about money while their child is undergoing this type of medical emergency.
The money donated will go towards the out of network deductible, hospital bills, and to help the family stay afloat while Connie is out of work helping her child recover.
