Didis' Nepal Earthquake Fund
Donation protected
In 2000, when I was a junior in college I had the opportunity to study abroad in Nepal. Not only did I get to immerse myself in Nepali culture and language but I was fortunate to live with a wonderful host family who treated me like their own daughter. I feel lucky to have kept in touch with them over the years and still consider them family. I'm sure you have heard of the devastation caused by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck just outside Kathmandu, Nepal on April 25th. My host family was lucky not to have lost anyone, but my mother and father's house collapsed. They also have extended family as well as neighbors who have lost their houses and are in need of support to survive in the short term and rebuild in the long term. Please join me and the other didis (sisters) who lived with the Karki family and consider donating to help them recover from this devastating natural disaster. A little bit goes a long way.
