Five years ago I walked into a 9th grade classroom on the north side of Jacksonville, Florida and found my passion.  Since then, I've worked with systems-impacted/at-risk youth in various capacities, most recently as a Program Manager for a non-profit, Deep Center.  I've had the opportunity to develop and run programming at alternative schools and after school activities grounded in health, wellness, and education.  I support youth while in court as well as assist to connect them to services and resources.

About a year ago I was accepted into Columbia University's Masters of Social Work program! I start this September and I'm extremely excited but also trying to figure out how money works (like most of us are).

So this year for my birthday (August 14th), rather than posting my cashapp, I'm posting this GoFundme to help cover some of my tuition for the fall.
