Diane Brown Scholarship for IYM
Donation protected
My beloved mother, Diane Brown, lost her battle to ovarian cancer 10 years ago. Those of you who've had an opportunity to meet her know that she is best described as a dreamer—but she wasn't dreaming for herself. My mom loved community, so her actions and ambition were always centered around helping others actualize their goals. Moreover, she understood the role education and exposure played in changing realities. To that end, in 2005, my mother (who was actively battling cancer), Mark and Marion Cheung collaborated to create Inspiring Young Minds to help educate parents and students about the remarkable opportunities offered by boarding/prep schools and, perhaps most important, how to navigate the new world—from application process to thriving to graduation. Each year, we celebrate my mother's vision and passion by awarding a scholarship to an outstanding college-bound senior in her honor. If you believe in dreams, education and community, I ask that you support. Thank you!
