Diane LaFaso Skullr has Stage 4 Colon Cancer. She is fighting for her life now and needs your help with her medical expenses. Please help either financially and/or add her to your daily prayers. Many of you know her. Those that do, love her. She has always done for others. Going out of her way to make everyone happy. She has always been a positive person, solving people’s problems, finding solutions, and encouraging others to be at their best. We are always able to count on her. She is a force that we have watched move mountains and now we want to do the same for her.
Now she needs our help.
Diane was diagnosed on 9/20/22 and is having continued chemo treatments and scans, tests, Dr. visits, etc. She is insured but has a huge annual our-of-pocket deductible. That is what we want to help her with. For now, to cover the deductibles and expenses for 2022 and start on the 2023 deductible. She is working part time, while she can, to cover her living expenses. (We’ll cross that bridge later if we must)
There is a chance that she will beat this if she stays on the strict cancer treatment regimen. While she is 100% onboard, she is beginning to realize the tremendous financial burden this treatment requires. (It's a real thing experienced by chemo patients called financial toxicity.) Besides the deductible and copay, there are many out-of-pocket expenses and some treatments that insurance won’t cover. She is at the beginning of her chemo journey, and she will require surgery next spring.
Diane was reluctant to let us ask for financial help. We reminded her of how much she is loved and that there are many people who wish to help. That folks want to help but don’t know how and that this will give them a way to help.
Thank you in advance for any amount you can give. And if you can’t give, please pray for her. She appreciates all the help and love she has received and send HUGs to all!
A CaringBridge Site was created for Diane. It‘s a social network to help people stay connected with family and friends and read updates from Diane.
NOTE from Diane:
Several friends have asked to set-up GoFundMe accounts to help me with the medical expenses. As you can imagine, there are A LOT of medical expenses. I am not comfortable asking for help. Yet, as embarrassing as it is to say, I still have a long, long way to go, and I cannot afford this on my own. After much discussion, I agreed. Please help if you can. No worries if you can’t or don’t believe in doing this. I understand and would appreciate your continued prayers.
