Diane Schimpf Evans Medical Expense

Even in a time of celebration your life can be turned upside down, On March 11, 2017 while attending a family wedding Diane Evans experienced illness that has made the last 3 months of her life a roller coaster. She first was found to need her gallbladder remove which should have been a very simple procedure, and when she was recovering from this it was discovered that the gallstones caused "acute pancreatitis".

Acute Pancreatitis is an inflammatory condition of the pancreas that is very painful and at times deadly. Most common cause of pancreatitis is gall stones that get stuck in the common bile duct which stops normal flow of pancreatic fluid. When the duct becomes blocked the enzymes secreted by the pancreas, then start to destroy the pancreas. The fluids that were stopped in Diane's pancreas then started pooling on her pancreas. The pooling of fluid created what is called a "Pseudocyst". Diane's pseudocyst grew to the size of a softball and they found it to be necrotic, meaning enzymes that damage the pancreas, causes the tissue to die.

With all of this she has had to have a feeding tube, numerous trips to the Emergency Room, 3 trips to Indianapolis IU Medical Center, a surgery and serial cat scans and more surgeries to come.

Diane's insurance has limitations and some of her classmates have decided to try to help Diane by setting up a Go Fund Me.  Any donations would be a huge help to ease Diane's mind and be a blessing from God.
