When I woke this morning I saw the post about the fire at Platinum Salon. Absolutely devastating to say the least. Not only to the owner, Diane Landrette and Diane’s family, but to the staff that work each day to provide for their families, to the tenants and also to the community that supports Diane’s business. The first thing that came to mind was - I hope everyone is ok and then a GoFund Me.

When I experienced a personal tragedy, two beautiful people created a GoFund Me to help us through. In the moments of shock, tragedy and unfortunate events you can’t imagine the monetary strains that come with it. I myself, want to help Diane, her family, her staff and others even if in the smallest way. And if there is one thing I can say about the people in the Torrington community, when one falls everyone is there to pick them up.
