With heavy hearts (but not too heavy, she would have hated that), we share that Diane Congo passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, after navigating serious health challenges, including double pneumonia, While her passing leaves a profound absence, we are comforted in knowing she is now at rest, held in God's grace, and free from suffering.

Diane's life was rooted in quiet strength, love, deep devotion to her family, and, if you knew her, a refreshingly honest way of seeing the world. Her ability to tell it exactly like it was is legendary. She didn't suffer fools gladly, and she didn't waste words. If she were here, she'd say this is already too long.

If Diane had an opinion to share, you heard it clearly, and you were always better for it. That honesty, as well as her fierce care and love for her people is what endeared so many to her. However our thoughts and prayers are with the Apostle Paul as he's undoubtedly getting a well-deserved earful.

Diane shared 56 years of marriage with her husband, Merle, building a life together grounded in loyalty and commitment. In recent years, that care has been so beautifully reflected in their daughter, Lisa, who has supported both of her parents with unwavering love, grace and dignity. Lisa lives her life in service to others and has been a steady, compassionate presence through every step of this journey.

As they navigate this loss, the family is also facing the very real financial pressures that come with it. Merle, now in his 80s, continues to work and has been away from his job for several weeks while Diane was in the hospital. His income helps meet daily needs, and the added burden of funeral expenses and outstanding costs is significant. While insurance support is expected, it will take time to arrive.

Many have asked how they can help. This fund has been created as a tangible way to support Merle and Lisa, and to ease immediate financial strain with funeral costs. We are hoping to relieve some of the weight of expenses so they can focus on grieving, healing, and caring for one another.

We have a feeling Diane would probably roll her eyes at any fuss, but always appreciated practicality and would likely be the first to insist her family is taken care of, no arguments.

Any support, whether through donation or by sharing this page is deeply appreciated. Your kindness allows the Congo family to feel held and supported during an incredibly difficult time.
