On March 13th, my best friend and companion, my 5-year-old pup Princess Diana, was diagnosed with Addison's Disease. She was on the verge of dying and possibly going into seizures due to low blood sugar levels. Her journey to recovery will be a long one, and I truly don’t want to lose her. I don’t know what I would do without her. She’s my whole world.
Besides the vet bills reaching $5K in total, this left me in complete panic as my work contract ended the very next day on March 14th. This news was so devastating because I already do not have the funds to continue to be unemployed, but now I don’t have the funds to help continue her progress to get better. This is a rigorous disease, and the shots, hormones, and prescription food are expensive. Now, I have to do constant vet visits, check-ups, and blood work to ensure she remains stable and healthy. The doctor also mentioned that she needs to be spayed immediately after she gets a bit better as they found fluid around her uterus, which can turn into a uterus infection and spread fast, leading to a crisis.
This job market is treacherous, and even with 2 degrees and 4 certifications, I can’t land a permanent job or long-term contract. This contract was only 3 months, and before this, I was out of work for 7. So, I’m reaching out to anyone who can possibly help.
