Help Diana's self destructing body
Donation protected
All you who know Diana Greenhut Lindahl love her. She is 25 years old, an active and dedicated member of St. Innocent's Orthodox Church in Everson, WA, a lover of horses, a compassionate volunteer with the Whatcom Humane Society and a talented writer and photographer.
Five years ago Diana was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Her life since has been filled with one diagnosis after another. At last count, she has been referred to and has seen 19 doctors/various health care providers and specialists looking for relief from the pain and inflammation of her body, with so few answers and very little improvement.
While finding her soul-mate Adam has been the highpoint of her life, their three years of marriage have been filled with this constant stream of visits to doctors, medical bills and ever-present pain. Her body continues to betray her, fighting against itself with a long and scary list of auto-immune disorders, including chronic migraine, auto-immune eczema, sacroilliitis, ankylosing spondylitis, portal vein thrombosis, megaspleen, eyelid infections, idiopathic thrombocytopenia, fibromyalgia, and possibly, rheumatoid arthritis now.
As Diana says, "I am in total body pain every hour of every day without reprieve. That's the daily fight which doesn't even include the stress and fear of having these potential lifelong degenerative diseases."
Obviously, traditional Western medicine isn't working for her. She's tried naturopaths also. We have to try something new. With your help, we seek to send Diana for intensive investigative treatment at the Hansa Center in Wichita in July. It's past time to stop her body from destructing any further. Initially, she must stay for two weeks of testing and treatment and then return for a week long followup. No insurance will cover the costs and it is not cheap. But we know someone else who went there for help after years of a baffling illness and regained the ability to talk and walk after treatment and is now a hockey-playing college student.
Their healing modes are not mainstream, but their results and reputation are impressive.
All the funds we raise will go to Diana and Adam to cover the treatment and testing as well as travel costs for two trips for Diana and Adam (if he can get off work, or a companion). We believe the Hansa Center can help Diana's body to heal so that it may be as strong as her loving and sweet spirit.
We are so grateful for any contribution you can make, and for your prayers. Diana and Adam have so much to share with the world. With God's blessing, we want to give them a chance to have a future to make their dreams come true, as all young couples desire.
