Diana Jean Pearson was an extremely strong woman, physically and mentally. She was an amazing single mother to her four daughters, Deidre, Monica, Julie and Peggy. And most people knew her for her kindness, always being a mom or a friend to everyone in the neighborhood. If Diana wasn’t trying to feed you, clothe you or just give you something in general, even though she may have not have had too much to give, she would at the very least, be one of the best listeners that you could talk to. Once, when Diana was just a child, she was even able to rescue a newborn child from a dumpster, in Alexandria, VA on route one.
Well, Shortly after Diana’s diagnosis of COPD, emphysema and chronic bronchitis, her health started to quickly decline. Between Diana’s admittance to the ICU and being on a mandatory oxygen tank she somehow still managed to keep the world in the dark about the severity of her illness, with a smile on her face. Just four days before her passing, she told her youngest daughter Peggy, “I plan on staying around a while so stop being negative”. Well.. to the very end she was so loving and positive. Until the very end, she was the same mother that her daughter’s knew and loved. And until the end, she was loved by her life partner and wife, Janice that never once left her side!
We don’t know details just yet, but Diana is an organ donor and some of her organs are healthy enough to save some other people’s lives, so that will be set into motion in the next week or so. All memorial and funeral arrangements will be shared as they are planned.
ANYONE who knew Diana, knew that no matter how tough life got, she was always way too prideful to ask for any type of help. Well, unfortunately there’s nothing setup to help her or the family with funeral costs, so in the honor and memory of Diana’s legacy, we’d love to give her the proper burial and memorial that she DESERVES!!! We all THANK YOU in advance from the bottom of our hearts for any way that you’re able to help. ❤️
Memorial services for Diana Pearson will be held on Saturday, September. 7th at Calvary Hill Baptist Church at 9301 Little River Turnpike, Fairfax, VA, 22031 beginning promptly at 10am.
Reception to follow immediately after at 6733 Bellamy Ave, Springfield, VA 22152 with refreshments and drinks until 3pm.
