It's with deep regret and sorrow, That we inform everyone that God has gained an angel, as our beautiful and lovely Diana Jo Peters has gained her wings. She was the Matriarch of our family, she was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandma, great-grandma, and friend to so many. She was truly someone special who touched the lives of so many around her and she will be missed dearly by all those she left behind. She had a contagious presence about her which was really a blessing to have around.

On Sunday, February 12th, 2023 was when we lost a shining light and beloved member to not only our family but also our community. Diana was born in Oakland, California, but has lived in Santa Cruz county since she was 3 years old and devoted herself to her family, friends, and community. In fact, 64 years of her life were dedicated to her work and countless achievements within the community. Some she was most proud of working for were; Watkins Johnson, TKO Software, and Toyota. She was also a business owner of a Beauty School and The Cheese Connection. She was part of the Grand Jury. When she was not working and supporting her family as a single mother most of the time, she volunteered her time and love to the Salvation Army, and multiple fundraisers for the local school districts, and she was on the Santa Cruz High School Alumni ℅ 1960 committee, Awarding scholarships for future generations of students. There are so many others we have left off here but she was definitely ongoing and outgoing in not only her home and family but all over her community.

The loss of Diana has left her family and friends heartbroken and devastated, and I am hoping to have this help provide some financial relief during this unimaginable and saddened time. The purpose of this GoFundMe campaign is to raise funds to help subsidize or cover costs such as cremation, the outpour of medical bills, and any other unforeseen expenses at this time. The expense of the unexpected and heartbreaking tragedy has accumulated. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated, and we value your support during these heavy-hearted moments within the Lopez’ & Peters Family.

Your contributions and donation will not only help ease the financial burden on her family during this challenging time but will also honor Diana for what she has done and provided for her family and our community.

At this time, we are continuing to follow through with her wishes and not hold a ceremony; however, we will be having a celebration of life Honoring Diana.
