Diana Janz Medical Bills

Donation protected
On Easter Sunday my mom ended up in the ICU as a result of an esophageal varices that burst causing her to bleed out and her heart to stop for two minutes. She was resuscitated and they found where the bleeding was coming from and luckily were able to save her life. We are so very grateful! She spent over a week in the ICU coming back to life and then another couple weeks in the hospital and then a recovery home.  She found out that she had cirrhosis of the liver but no one knew why.  She was able to return home and was healing from her broken rib and her blood tests and skin color were showing improvements. Yesterday she went to see a specialist and he let her know that she has a genetic auto-immune disease called biliary cholangitis which caused her body to basically destroy most of her liver.  We don’t know what the future holds exactly for my mom but it seems with medication and some strict lifestyle adherences (a lot of which are already mostly the way my mom already lives) that she should be able to manage it. A lot of you know what a generous, kind, and giving person my mom is. So much so that for a number of years she has devoted her life to helping women that have come out of trafficking and other destructive situations. She started a non-profit in Eugene, OR called Hope Ranch where she lives in a home with a few girls at a time and provides them with love, guidance, home cooked meals and hope. She is looking forward to hopefully getting back to that soon but for now she is unable to work and the medical bills are racking up. As of last night my mom is back in the hospital because she had another bleed. Luckily this prompted them to do some scopes and clamp up a number of weak spots. (Originally this wasn’t scheduled until September). She should be back home in a few days. If you feel led to contribute to my moms medical bills or even if you just have prayers, an encouraging message or good energy to send her way, I know she would be so appreciative of it all. I just want to help relieve some of her stress so that she can focus on recovering. Thank you in advance. Much love!
