Hi friends and family,
I’m starting a GoFundMe campaign for my friend Diana Rose Narag, whom I worked with at my previous firm. Diana is a 24-year-old accountant who lives in Cabuyao, Laguna, Philippines. We became close while we worked on a handful of projects together.
I caught up with her last week, and was devastated to find out that she was diagnosed with stage-1 ovarian cancer in April of this year. She had a 25cm (10 inch) tumor taken out and is now going through chemotherapy. I was especially heartbroken to hear that she had to quit her job. She had been saving money and was applying for post-graduate programs abroad, hoping for a bigger and brighter future for herself. Diana was accepted to a program in Canada but had to give up her spot due to her health issues. She is burning through her savings to pay for her medical and living expenses and will now need to find a part-time job just to survive.
Some of you may know Diana personally or through work. In any case, after you read more about her, in her bio, in her own words, you’ll come to know how perseverant she is, despite her circumstances.
Do you remember a time when you were at a crossroad, and you were given choices that would have very different outcomes on your life? Do you ever wonder how life would be different had you chosen the other path?
Well, Diana was at a crossroad, and she chose a path – the more ambitious and uncertain path that was full of possibilities. But that path was yanked away from her by the big C.
I want to raise $10k dollars to help cover her medical and living expenses for the next year so she doesn’t have to worry about finding a part-time job while battling cancer.
I want us to help her get back on that path again—the path of possibilities— and pave the way for her to be able to chase her dreams again. When you donate to her cause, you’re not only helping a friend, a co-worker, and a bright young woman, you are also helping shape the infinite possibilities of her future.
I’ve attached her bio, graduation picture, picture of her in the hospital, and diagnosis records.
Please donate to help Diana through this difficult time.
