My sister, Diana Bryant, and her husband, George, had the most horrific experience on Sept. 26, 2025. A cell phone charger caught fire in her bedroom. Thank goodness, she was at work, otherwise, she would have been asleep in her room. Her bedroom was a total loss, while the remainder of the house sustained substantial smoke damage. She only had the clothes on her back. Her work clothes, shoes, personal items, family mementos, etc. were lost! Two freezers full of food and their refrigerator food was all lost. George is on a fixed income, while Diana, has had to take time off from work to sort through the mess and deal with the steps of getting everything taken care of. The photos I've shared are no comparison to what is revealed when entering their home. We all know what it's like to deal with insurance companies. There are so many upfront costs, such as electrician, POD for storage, clothes for work, food, shelter, etc.

If you know my sister and brother-in-law, they are the most generous and kind people out there. Truly, the kind of people that would give the shirt off their backs for you. I have witnessed their generosity, almost to a fault. They think of others before themselves.

This Go Fund Me is to ask for donations to help with the next year of hardship. I was there when the inspector told them that they can expect a year before they can see results as everything takes so much time between cleanup, renovation, and restoration.
