Hi, my name is Gabby and I’m fundraising for my husband, Oscar. He’s had chronic kidney disease for some time now and just recently got a diagnosis of IgA Nephropathy AKA Berger’s Disease after a kidney biopsy. Berger’s disease is rare; it is a kidney disease that occurs when an antibody called immunoglobulin A (IgA) builds up in your kidneys. This results in local inflammation that, over time, can hamper your kidneys' ability to filter waste from your blood. Due to that, dialysis is imminent. He’s the head of household and the main source of finance. When dialysis happens, he will not be able to work and disability will not cover rent, bills, and food. We have another income in the house, but that one alone won’t be enough.

So this is where I humbly turn to your help. It is most likely only going to be temporary, maybe 6 months according to his nephrologist. Help us not end up homeless with my husband this ill.

This money will go towards rent and bills.
