Dialysis for Our Puppy Murphy
Donation protected
Our 4 year old furbaby, Murphy, started vomiting after dinner on Sunday night. On Monday night he didn't want to eat any more. After two days of trying to feed him different foods from rice to chicken to treats we brought him into the Emergency Vet.
First, an xray showed that his kidneys were enlarged. Soon after we received a call that his blood work showed his kidneys were failing.
The culprit: Leptospirosis, acquired from drinking water from streams/lakes contaminated with infected urine.
After 24 hours of fluids and antibiotics it was clear that his kidneys couldn't do the work alone. His face became swollen, he tired quickly, he didn't want to move.
Our last chance to save his life is with temporary dialysis. He may need 2-6 sessions depending on how his kidneys respond. Dialysis is not cheap and we do not have the money to afford it. Please help us save Murphy's life. Any amount gets us that much closer.
We love Murphy with all our hearts. He is our baby. Our hearts are breaking for him right now. We want to see him run again.
