Hi, my name is Stu and I am on lifesaving Haemodialysis treatments. This fundraising page is to help support my start-up ‘Dialyscape Caravan Project’ to offer people like me on dialysis treatment, the freedom that others take for granted. The opportunity to take holidays to see family and explore new places.
Our aim is to provide a fleet of vans and caravans equipped for Haemodialysis patients to rent for holidays.
Recently we made the decision to pivot our focus from acquiring a caravan as our pilot Dialyscape vehicle to seeking out a Van. Our main objective is to create mobility for haemodialysis patients who are desiring to go on holiday. While a caravan seemed like the logical approach, we listened to many people and realised that people would rather mobility. Towing a caravan limits the number of users to those who are equipped to tow a caravan. While the van will sacrifice space, it will allow people to book accommodation or to visit family and friends and provide a space to do dialysis just by simply connecting to a water and power source.
This pivot is exciting as it reduces costs (the caravan market has soared over the last two years) in the initial set-up. It also allows for our original vision to be fulfilled with greater purpose. We are looking at using a van similar to the VW Multivan or Transporter.

Initially, we will set up the Dialyscape Van as the prototype and continue to develop it to ensure the most comfortable fit-out for treatments. During which time we will work with appropriate people to ensure all legal aspects are covered and how to best address this unique situation. Once confident that we have covered everything, the van will be set-up for comfort and treatment and ready to hire to the public.
We are creating the prototype vehicle to be easily replicated as we look to expanding the fleet, making kit-out of the vehicle to be as functional as possible. As the Dialyscape fleet expands, rentals will contribute to maintenance, management and seed-funding the next vehicle.
Thank you for your support and helping to bring a little piece of freedom to those on dialysis.
