Diabetes sucks! The Toriellos need your help!

Our very good friends and neighbors, the Toriellos, have just experienced another blow to their family - Joe is almost completely blind. Joe, Heather, Dylan and Jenna have had a very rough 2020 and it just got worse.
Joe was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago. Since then he has gradually declined - he had an infection in his foot and lost a toe as well as other complications. The most recent has been his vision. His eye sight has been worsening over the last several months and recently his eyesight continued to deteriorate. He is in the final stages of almost complete loss of visioin due to diabetic retinopathy. He will be having a couple of surgeries but they won’t be to improve his condition - it will only be to give him a little more time before he is completely blind.
He has been having a difficult time with his eyes the last couple of years but was able to work until this week. His sight declined so badly that he was unable to drive and do his job anymore. The doctor believes that it’s possible Covid 19 may have accelerated his diabetic retinopathy. He is able to get around inside the house but is unable to navigate outside or other places on his own at all.
Joe has been the provider for his family and this loss is devastating. Any money raised will be to help with medical expenses and basic living expenses as their funds are depleted.
This family would literally give you the shirt off their backs at any moment. Our boys have grown up with Dylan who attends FPCHS and is on the FPC lacrosse team. This family is part of our family. Their kids are our kids.
Please consider donating NOW to take some of the pressure and burden off this family until they figure out what the next step is.
Sincerely,
Ron, Shelby, Zoe and Kevin Wolfe
