Laura Iaffaldano a consultant in our EY-Sinek practice has had type 1 diabetes for 19 years. She recently won a lottery where she was able to participate in a study to test an artificial pancreas. Over the past few months, I've never seen her so healthy.
Last week the study ended and Laura was asked to return the device. Good news is there is now an artificial pancreas being sold on the market for an out of pocket fee of $4K.
On Saturday morning I'll be running the Brooklyn half. In true Diane fashion, I've decided this 1 hour ago when a friend asked me to run in his place.
This is just the start of a campaign to meet the goal. I invite you to donate and help me surprise Laura. We are playing for keeps this time. :)
