Treatment Expenses

Donation protected
In June of this year it was diagnosed that 17 year old Anthony Ortega had a sarcoma tumor that was possibly caused from a condition that he was born with called Neuro Fibro Mitosis. Unfortunately it was cancerous. After a 10 hour surgery the cancerous tumor was removed. A secondary tumor was removed last month. This week he starts chemotherapy and radiation to make sure he will not have cancer in his future. His chemo treatments are all done at UCSF. Due to his NF and because of his lengthy surgury all his treatments are to be done at the University of Sanfrancisco Cancer Center. He will have approx. 6 months of chemo and a 30 day stay at UCSF for his radiation treatment. He has a great team of doctors that believe he will be cancer free upon the completion of his treatments. Anthony is in great spirits and is dealing with his situation like a champ. He just graduated high school and just turned 18 in August. He has plans to become a firefighter. With much reserve we are asking for some help for things that insurance does not cover. A little goes a long way. Whether it is a financial donation or positive thoughts they are both helpful and appreciated.
