It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dhruvin, aged 41, on December 26, after a courageous battle with a serious medical condition—metastatic neuroendocrine tumor (metastatic insulinoma).

Dhruvin was a loving husband, a devoted father, and a kind soul who always put his family first. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Rinku, and their 9-year-old son, Rivaan, whose lives have been forever changed by this profound loss.

Dhruvin was the sole earner for his family. Over the past year, his illness prevented him from working, and Rinku had to stay home full-time to care for him. This created immense emotional and financial strain during an already overwhelming time.

Dhruvin moved to Canada in 2020 and settled in Saskatoon, where he worked tirelessly for over two and a half years to build a better future for his family. In 2023, he relocated to Edmonton and began working. Just as life seemed to be stabilizing, he was diagnosed with this rare and aggressive condition. The treatments, medications, and medical care were extensive and costly, placing further stress on the family.

This fundraiser is being organized by Piyush Patel, Dhruvin’s brother-in-law, along with Pravin Patel, a close relative friend of Dhruvin, on behalf of Rinku and Rivaan. We are coming together to support the family with funeral expenses, outstanding medical bills, and essential living costs, and to help provide some stability as they begin the difficult journey of healing and rebuilding their lives.

Any contribution—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference. Every donation is a gesture of love, compassion, and solidarity for a family who lost a beloved husband and father far too soon.
