Help Bring Didrik Hurum Home!
Didrik Hurum is a 26 yr old from Norway whom is extremely experienced free diver and spear fisherman. He has dived many spots all over the world. Didrik was in the special forces before moving over to Australia.
On the 23th June, Didrik went diving with 3 fellow divers just off Flat Rock, Stradbroke Is,
QLD.
He did not resurface.
An alert to Coast guard and Brisbane Water Police was raised, and while waiting for them his
fellow divers continued to dive looking however could not locate him.
Didrik's family are all overseas, watching this unfold. It is so heartbreaking for them to be so
far away and feel helpless. All of Didrik's friends are doing all we can with search and rescue to find Didrik and get him home.
However as you can imagine at this time, you need to think about the harder things. Which
would be the cost of flying Didrik home. A tribute or celebration of his life, family grieving and taking time off work, search costs etc.
The financial burden should not be something they have to be concerned about right now.
