Medical Coverage

So - on the 4th of May here in 2015, my wife was visiting a friend in Canada when she began to experience pangs of stomach pain and nausea; at first, she thought that she had food poisoning, and took steps to treat it properly. The situation quickly escalated, such that with a couple days she was at the hospital and they told her that she wasn't coming home the enxt day as she'd hoped, but was instead whisked into emergency surgery.

It turned out that her stomach had perforations and she needed surgery to fix it; the doctors, thankfully, were quick, and she was soon convalescing. They've determined that it was caused by a rather rare infection in her stomach, and the doctors and nurses at the hospital there in Canada are being wonderful people as they help her get better.

The problem is that any kind of intensive surgery like this takes a long time to recover from and has plenty of small complications to make it take longer, and it turns out that American health care is about as bad as we'd expected and our insurance doesn't cover anything that happens out of state, much less out of country.

So I'm asking for whatever help can be rendered; every donation to this is going to go toward my wife's medical care and the repayment of the hospital that has quite literally saved her life.
