DHL2020 Act of Kindness -- We Got Your Back

Donation protected

Being a part of this internet marketing community, we get a chance to meet so many AMAZING individuals! I wanted to put something together to give back to KATHRYN since she is such an incredible GIVER herself...

Kathryn Jones is one of those people that is so giving, loving, caring, amazing, and always putting everyone else first. Her family is her world and I know she has two sisters battling two different sicknesses. One sister, Emily, is battling Lyme Disease while another sister, Ella, is fighting with Type-1 Diabetes. Knowing how selfless Kathryn and her family are, I thought it would be nice if we raised some money to be donated to the family or charity of their choice to support both Lyme Disease & Type-1 Diabetes.

I'd appreciate it if we kept this a SECRET and will present Kathryn with a card and a check from the funds raised to let her and her family know that WE as a COMMUNITY  have their backs.

"I'm amazed at the service and kindness of so many people in my life.

My mother, who has raised 8 children and is not only a full-time caretaker to my sister battling Lyme Disease but she also keeps my other sister with Type 1 Diabetes alive, checking her blood sugar all throughout the night.

My father, who is right by my mother's side, giving treatments and carrying people up the stairs and attending all doctor appointments even on the other side of the country.

But, I wanted to highlight someone that may get overlooked for being an amazing giver of service: my sister Emily.

The reason she may get overlooked is because most times, she's the recipient of the service. As she's in the midst of some brutal IV treatment to battle her Lyme Disease, she has every reason in the world to complain. To be a difficult patient. To bring others down.

But I'm telling you what - that girl is one of the most optimistic people I've ever met.

Which is amazing considering the fact that she's dealt with chronic illness and many surgeries and stem cell treatment and doubting doctors and herxing (chemo-like treatment) and medicines and pain and mental health challenges and being so exhausted that you have to sleep for 20 hours a day for the last 5 years.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS.

I cannot even fathom being sick for that long.

She actually got bit by the tick that gave her Lyme Disease while serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in Virginia.

She's kind. And hilarious. And so grateful for the help she receives.

She makes a huge effort to connect when she's awake. And she's indomitable in her fight to get healthy.

She serves those who serve her by being such an incredible patient.

I'm grateful for the example of my parents and my sisters.

I strive to be more like them every day."
