Help DC Students Dive into Cultural Exchange in South Africa!
I'm Ernie Franklin, a teacher and SCUBA diving instructor in four high school students in the
Washington, D.C area. I'm reaching out to you today with an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in young lives.
Our unique SCUBA program opens doors for students from underserved
communities, introducing them to potential careers in marine sciences, oceanography,
and environmental science. We have a chance to take this experience to the next level.
We've been invited to participate in the Youth International Cultural Awareness
Program (Y.I.C.A.P.), an exchange program with students from Sodwana Bay, South Africa.
This incredible opportunity will allow our students, aged 16-20, to share experiences with
their African peers, fostering cultural understanding and personal growth.
To make this dream a reality, we need to raise $15,000 to cover transportation costs.
Your contribution, no matter the size, will help these young people embark on a lifechanging
journey.
Join us in bridging cultures, expanding horizons, and creating memories that will last
a lifetime. Let's show these students that their dreams can take flight - or in this case - dive deep!
Thank you for your support in making this extraordinary opportunity possible for our District of Columbia youth.
