Helping Helena

Hi, my name is Amber and I'm a former teammate of Helena's, starting this GoFundMe to help her and her family as Helena has undergone unexpected major surgery, hospital stays, and therapy here in the USA.

In late May, Helena had emergency brain surgery for an undetected congenital brain abnormality while on a trip in the USA for the summer. She has received excellent care from UNMC and is progressing with every day since her surgery! She has been so strong throughout her recovery and we are thankful for all that God has done in her life and how He has been healing her through this process! This is the beginning of a long journey for her, so supporting her in any way that you can is greatly appreciated.

This GoFundMe would help to financially support her and her family with travel expenses, staying here in the USA, medical costs and any other expenses that have come during this time. She is continuing to receive therapy and will receive therapy when she goes home to the Netherlands as well. Anything that you are able to give to support her and her family would be a huge help!
