Help for Sandy

"She is a testament of Faith, Strength, and kindness. The world needs more Sandy"

I am Lee Ann, Sandy's daughter.  I am hoping to raise funds to help out my mom in her time of need, because if you know her- she will never ask for help herself.  Let me tell you about my mom: my mother has the most upbeat, most positive, humbling attitude of any human I have ever encountered. She has faced more in this lifetime than people can fathom. Real life nightmares with a capital N. She has told me 2 things from as far back as I can remember 1) pray about it, I mean REALLY pray about it. Don't just say you're praying.... PRAY. 2) the world has never stop turning on its axes for any problem. "It's not the end of the world" Lord willing you will get tomorrow and get another shot, start over, know better; do better.

In the darkest times she see the light, the silver lining. A smile on her face and a song in her heart (that most of the time comes out in an adorable hum as she goes about her day) At any time she feels the pressure of the world coming down around her she reaches out, and then quickly apologizes for "whining" or "complaining" and this only comes when the darkest of days gets the absolute darkest and she thinks she hears a door slam.

And today, yesterday and many other days she deserves a good cry, a feel of defeat- but NO- she refuses! She declares how absolutely grateful she is to have her soulmate, Floyd, her little dog, Pinky and a car that will take her to and from work the rest is just "stuff"

Because, my mom.... She lost all her "stuff" when her modest little home nestled along the Elk River in Noel MO was flooded with 3-4ft of water on Sunday December 27th. (I think, possibly more). It continues to rain and when the rain stops- it starts to snow… My heart is so broken for her- over her stuff, the headache, and what she truly deserves out of life for overcoming the obstacles she has to get her where she is at, and for just being a damn good person right to the soul. Although she does have insurance, there is a great possibility that it will not be enough to rebuild, repair, and restock her home, not to mention the daily expenses while not being able to live at home. , The Tyson Foods plant where she works is ALSO flooded and closed down.   If you have been lucky enough to know my mom, you have been in the presence of a saint, and chances are she has done something to help you…If you see fit and can find a way, would you to do the same for her-?

In addition to a monetary contribution- Can we pray, maybe not even for the stuff.... But maybe just for a heart like hers.
