Travel Expenses for Medical Testing

I am Alayne's great Aunt. Alayne was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis in 2016 at 4 years old when she had several hospital stays with acute pancreatitis. Since then, she has had 3 to 4 hospital stays a year with acute episodes. It is extremely painful and is accompanied by nausea and vomiting. This year, she has been hospitalized 3 times, and her pancreas is scarred from the inflammation. She is in need of either a pancreatic transplant or a special surgery called TPIAT, Total pancreatectomy with islet autotransplantation. This surgery will remove the pancreas that is the cause of her severe pain and allow her to avoid a pancreas transplant where she would need to take on anti-rejection medication for the rest of her life. Unfortunately, the closest place this surgery is performed is in Columbus, Ohio. She will be going to Ohio for a week of testing from June 26th to July 1st, 2023, and needs financial assistance for travel and expenses. This little girl is so precious to us. She puts smiles on our faces everyday, even through the pain that she is going through. This is a terrible disease and now it has taken its toll on her little body. Watching her go through this is breaking our hearts. Please find it in your hearts to help us get this precious angel the help she needs.
