Please Help Diablo Hills Country School Express Its Gratitude
Teacher Appreciation Week
While we may never be able to properly thank our teachers (who were Covid 19 frontline essential workers) and express our gratitude for all of their hard work, there are a few things we all can do to show our appreciation during “Teacher Appreciation Week” at Diablo Hills Country School. Typically, Diablo Hills gives our teachers a special lunch, gets their nails done, and provides a few other school spirit related things while parents give teachers a small gift card and card or flower. However, after the tumultuous year our teachers have had, we are trying something new on a one time basis to express our gratitude.
Diablo Hills has never created a Go Fund Me page asking to fund anything, but we have decided to forego giving our teachers the usual gifts for “Teacher Appreciation Week” and instead are placing the money we would have spent for them in this Go Fund Me account. We are asking our parents (and grandparents) who are able to do the same and contribute to this Go Fund Me account a small amount as an expression of gratitude. Not only have these teachers been providing loving in person learning every day since June 1, but they have also maintained safety protocols which allow DHCS to report not one single COVID case transmitted to another student to date. We would like for you to share this message with your friends in the community to reach as many people as possible in the event a community member may want to participate. The money will be distributed evenly to all teachers and 100% of the money will go directly to the teachers. We do not have a goal for a total amount so there is no pressure at all. And, if you would rather give your child's teacher a small gift card and card or flower, feel free. That is, of course, always welcome and greatly appreciated.
