Team Emily

At just 14 years old, Emily Huffman has been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive type of pediatric cancer. In February 2024, Emily had a mass removed from her back that was painless and movable, thought to be a lipoma. After further testing, the mass turned out to be a cancerous tumor. This news came as a major shock, because Emily has always been known to love dancing, volleyball, and cheerleading. She’s an incredible 8th grade student at Fort LeBoeuf Middle School.

Emily will be receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA for the next several months. Her treatment includes an aggressive chemotherapy regimen that requires her and her family members to travel and stay in Pittsburgh for up to five days at a time.
