Anyone who knows Kristin & Deepak knows that they have a love and passion for music. Whether it's traveling the world in search of music festivals, jamming out in ubers or making the most epic playlists for any event, you can always rely on them to keep the music and party going. That's why it is no surprised that Deepak and Kristin got involved with the “The Dharavi Dream Project " whose motto is "Music is a Healer".
The Dharavi Dream Project was started to discover, nurture and promote the Hip Hop talent from Dharavi and to initiate a Hip hop Movement to encourage young minds from all over the world to express themselves by giving them a platform for it. Dharavi is an area in India where domestic violence, the influence of alcohol and smoking up is a strong culture distracting the under-resourced talent in the ghetto towards the nuances of the society. The Dharavi Dream Project started over 5 years ago as one of the very first after school programs focused on Hip-Hop in Asia and has over 150 students today.
Upon moving to India, Deepak visited with the Dharavi Dream Project and donated his DJ equipment to all the young aspiring stars! This donation meant the world to these kids; who without an organization like the Dharavi Dream Project, they would never have access to the equipment and opportunities that help them achieve their dreams and do what they love.
Deepak & Kristin have decided to raise money for a organization near and dear to their hearts and celebrate giving back to the youth of India!
