Dharni's Nursing Home Care
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Priya, and I’m fundraising for my dad, Dharni, who is 84 years old and living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP)—a rare and aggressive neurodegenerative condition related to Parkinson’s Disease.
On December 30, 2024, after a year of worsening symptoms, my dad suffered a devastating fall down an entire staircase. The injuries were severe, and he spent two months recovering in the hospital, followed by another two months at home. As his condition progressed and his care needs grew, Dharni was moved into a long-term care facility.
Throughout his life, Dharni was deeply devoted to his family. He worked tirelessly to provide for us and continued working up until the pandemic. Unfortunately, financial challenges during the final two decades of his career left him with limited savings, just when stability and planning for the future were most critical.
We, his family, are now facing the significant costs of long-term care. If you have been touched by Dharni’s kindness—either personally, through his family, or if you simply understand how devastating PSP can be—we welcome your support during this difficult time.
Dharni is truly one of the kindest, most generous souls you could meet. We love him dearly, and it means the world to us to keep him as comfortable and well-supported as possible.
Thank you for your care, compassion, and generosity.
