Although uncomfortable for me, I am writing in a time of needed support.

Soon I will begin a year-long chemotherapy, surgery, targeted therapy and radiation treatment program for a fast Breast Cancer. I am scared but also know how blessed I am to be in the love, light and grace of my community. My partner, Flo, will help support me in the day-to-day logistics of this new reality and the money raised will help us better navigate the coming invasive and aggressive medical journey.

The intention for this GoFundMe is to help us improve our living environment, maintain our truck for traveling to and from the next year of medical appointments and offer us space to focus on healing.

With my path of service, I find it difficult to turn the focus on myself but with the love and support that surrounds me, I understand now, if ever, is a time for a village.

Hello friends! My name is Mary, and Dhanya is my best friend so I wanted to try and sum up my love, respect, and admiration for her in a few words.

She dedicated her life to selfless service which not many of us can claim.I admire that more than I can explain. Over the years, she has taught me what TRUE unconditional love is, and though I'm not always able to give it, she always does. I have never felt judged by her. To me she is a beacon of the light that is love. She walks in this world with more than her share of difficult diagnosis and physical challenges all the while remaining selfless and giving out love and kindness. This is going to be a hard year as she faces the same breast cancer that she lost her mom to, so I hope you find it in your compassion to support my best friend in getting the things she needs to make this journey more bareable. It's hard for me to find the words to adequelty express how incredible and inspiring I think Dhanya is, but I hope this was a good start. Thank you for reading everyone!
