Kerri's 2016 Africa Mission Trip
Back to Botswana to expand the bakery we built!
In 2011, we first visited Botswana, leaving behind an bakery we built ourselves - digging the foundation, baking the bricks and painting the walls.
We also taught baking and the use of bakery equipment to several ladies of the village. Since that time, “Twsharagano Sweets” (twsharagano" means "community" in Setswana) has been providing jobs to people in Mochudi who had no other hope of employment.
It does not just provide jobs, bread and sweets - it provides hope.
Well loved by the people of Mochudi, it needs a great number of improvements and upgrades. These include commercial ovens, mixers, and refrigeration units - as well as upgraded plumbing and electrical to support the additional equipment and an add-on to the structure.
The money we are raising will go directly to equipment, structural expansion - and more jobs for our wonderful village friends.
Entrepreneurs in America have so many resources, and our friends in Mochudi village have none except for our mission team - and YOU!
As we plan for our August trip, we hope you will pray for our success, and considerer contributing to our important project. We will be good stewards of your generosity and commit that every dollar raised will be used for a project that is visible and the success of which is quantifiable. And filled with grace, and hope. Smiling faces. And full tummies.
God bless,
Kerri
