Hi. My Name is Capt. Bouc. I am a retired school teacher, River Master and trustee of Avoca Trust, a DGR trust raising Tax deductible donation funds to create a fleet of River Murray School ships, home porting at Mannum and cruising the Murray, as an alternative school for youth at risk of high school dropout. The current South Australian high school dropout rate is 24% and increasing.

Phone me on 0418 83 137 if you can help with fund raising. Talking about it to friends is one of the best ways to help. Click here for more details

Potential dropout teens need to escape the current school for many reasons. Adventure on school ships with teacher managed learning will hold them in education.

  • ($600,000) Buy & Refit TSMundoo Paddleboat ($600,000) as advanced training vessel with a full time student team of catering & marketing students fund raising with catering projects on the river.

We have asked the State Treasurer, Stephen Mullighan to help the schoolship project with SAFA Loan funding help to get Avoca II working on fundraising. Aerie School ship students study cookery and hospitality skills and online as for home schooling including SACE subjects, on the school ships. Our teacher crew host the students and skipper the boats. Students work the boats, the catering and the house-boat care skills as part of their SACE studies.
