In June, we found a lump on our sweet dog Jesse’s neck. At first we thought he may have some type of infection, but when we took him to the vet they advised us that he would need a biopsy. We then found out that Jesse had an aggressive form of cancer. While we I initially thought the mass was removable, we have since learned that it is inoperable because of the location and the type of growth that it is.
This leaves us with radiation treatment as the only available option, which we will doing through the end of July and into mid-August. This will stop the growth of the tumor and hopefully shrink it substantially. This treatment has minor side effects, mostly irritation of the skin at the radiation site. Definitive radiation therapy is incredibly expensive, so we are asking for help in carrying the cost.
Jesse is a vibrant and loving 9 year old chihuahua mix. He loves hiking, crunching on carrots, and soaking up the sun. Jesse amazes us on a regular basis with how smart and intuitive he his. He is one of a kind and we want to do everything we can to help him.
If you are able to donate, we are so grateful to you and your kindness. Thank you.
