Help Scott's wife, Kelli with unforeseen expenses

Hi, my name is Marge Dimperio. I am organizing this fundraiser in Kelli's name so all the proceeds will go directly to her. I am here today to ask you to help Scott Gatto's incredible wife, Kelli. Let me begin by taking you back to late January of this year, 2022. Scott was not feeling very well so he and Kelli began this short but devastating journey looking for some answers and relief from what he was experiencing. As Doctors were asking questions and doing verious tests, Scott became increasingly ill with continuous pain, extreme nausa, inability to eat or drink and incessant vomiting spells causing Kelli to take Scott to multiple Emergency Room trips to several different, Hospitals looking for help. He would be admitted; then discharged the next day leaving him to endure in his suffering. By now Scott had lost 40 pounds, dehydrated, nausea, pain, skin color deteriorating, so weak at times unable to leave their bed and needed an IV to help his body get the nutrients it needed to survive. The tests finally concluded Scott had Melanoma, which had attacked his liver. By the time the proper tests were administered to find what was causing Scott to fall so ill, Scott & Kelli were told he was in Stage 4 and it was terminal. The doctors said he was in need of a cancer treatment immediately but his body needed help so he would be able to handle the chemo therapy. They informed Scott and Kelly that he would need to be discharged from the hospital, once again, so that they may administer immuno therapy. At this time VNA came into their home to administer the IV's and help Kelli care for him because he was still experiencing such extreme pain and nausea causing him not able to eat or drink. During these past several weeks Kelli has had to take an unpaid sabbatical from her job. She had been driving daily to Pittsburgh to be with her Husband then back home to care for their young son and pets. When Scott and Kelli told me what was happening I asked him if I could do a go fund me to help them with the transportation, medical co pays and the household finances. He told me no. If you know anything about this man you know he doesn't ask for anything yet he gives everything to anyone that would be in need. I tried to explain to him that the people who loved him would want to help them with the financial burdens that they would be facing but he told me that I couldn't as long as he was with us. He told me if he left us I could then reach out. I think he just didn't want to feel like he couldn't care for his family. But we all know sometimes it takes a village and that he would give the shirt off his back for even a stranger. In his last week with his family they have not only faced losing a Husband, Father, Son in law, but a couple of basic needs for their household decided they no longer wanted to function properly. So, this is why I am here today. As Kelli picks up the pieces of her broken heart and begins her journey with out her beloved husband by her side she is facing not only grief but also medical health care and finance burden. Helping to lift some of the financial burden placed upon her during this time of her mourning would allow her to breathe just a little easier and rest her mind as she lays her head down at night without the love of her life, her everything. If you are unable to help in a monetary way I would like to ask you to say a prayer for Scott's family as they attempt to maneuver through life with out him on this Earth. Please share this request if you can as Scott has touched many of us in his travels of life. The world just got a lot dimmer with out him here. Our Lord blessed each of us by allowing Scott to have been a part of our lives and we will forever be grateful for that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and please get to your local Dermatologist. One visit a year can help save your life. Scott would never want any of us to go through what he did. God bless.
