My Educational Journey to Rwanda!!!

Hey Friends and Family,
I'm currently a Senior at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina and I'm pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Community and Justice Studies while also minoring in Education Studies. I'm also the Senior Intern for the Bonner Center for Community Learning on Campus, and I work mainly on accounability issues with the 60 Bonner Scholars that attend Guilford College. I am so grateful for each Bonner that I've met since being at Guilford, and each relationship that I've been able to develop over the years has contributed to the passionate and strong individual that I am today.
I really need your help to go on this life changing trip to RWANDA!!!! I've been privileged with the opportunity to enroll in a 4-Credit course called "Rwanda: Post-Genocide Social and Environmental Justice" during the Guilford College Jan-Term, with a group of awesome guilford students and awesome guilford staff advisors from January 2nd until January 21st. On this trip I will receive college credits to help me graduate in May, and I will be able to experience traveling outside of the U.S. for the first time in my life. While in Rwanda I will be working closely in small groups with community partners who devote their energy towards rebuilding communities and the natural environment from past violence, fractured relationships, and deterioration. I am so excited for this work with local Rwandans, and it all aligns perfectly to what I've been studying at Guilford College as a Community and Justice Studies major.
So far I've been able to borrow a loan of $4,000 from Guilford College that will cover the course itself. Unfortunately I still need help finding funding for airfare, and for some expenses that I'll encounter while in Rwanda for the three weeks. The airfare is currently $1,700, and the traveling before and after my trip will cost around $300. I have set the go fund me goal to $2,200 to cover these additional expenses. I am really passionate about this trip, and I would hate to miss this opportunity that I may never receive again. I'm currently fundraising with my group to raise money, and I will be doing so up until January when I hope to be leaving.
Any amount that you can provide will be great, and if you could help me spread the word to reach my goal of $2,200 I would be so greatly appreciative. I'm hoping to raise this money as soon as possible, preferably by the middle of December so that I can know for certain if I'll be able to participate in the trip.
